Lazy Summer Post 2

Hi! I just want to say thank you for visiting my little blog today. Thank you for reading my thoughts and browsing through my photos. I know I'm not a very good photographer... and all my photos are taken with my phone and there are so many amazing blogs out there with fabulous pictures and wonderful stories, or helpful tips on this that or the other thing... and basically what I'm saying is that I know there are a lot of things, places, people vying for your time - and that you would spend a few minutes here means a lot to me. I know I haven't been posting much lately - I've been enjoying the slow pace of summer with my sweet family. So... thanks for stopping by!

Also - before I show you some more lazy summer photos... I just want to say that you are enough.

I've been needing to say that to myself lately. I'm enough. Just as I am. In the stage of life I'm in. In the job I currently hold. I'm enough.

And I'm enough because of what Jesus did for me on the cross. I can't be enough on my own... and sometimes I forget that and I try to be enough on my own and then I get so very sad and discouraged and believe that I need to cram my schedule with things and accomplish more and do more and be more so that I can be enough... and then there is a quiet voice that says "it is finished". You are now enough because Jesus is enough and he claimed you and adopted you and made you enough too.

So, there is my deep thought of the day.

Now here are some pictures of what we've been up to (in-between my deep thought-processing):

We've been splashing in the pool....

And making many trips to the mall... as every piece of my favorite jewelry has decided to break this summer and needed to be taken to the jeweler for repairs...

We've been silly with Yaya... in dresses sent to us all the way from Hawaii from Gran and Grad...

And made memories with Grandmommy...

We visited cousins in Colorado...

And fed giraffes...

We enjoyed playing with our cousins' toys...

And doing group baths...

And making once in a life-time memories.... (no really, we will never ever ever ride the cog railway to the top of Pike's Peak again.... let's just say, every family has bad vacation memories... maybe I'll write the story for you another time....)

It's been a matching pajama summer....

Enjoying our new hammock...

And being grumpy because of all the teeth coming in....

We've read lots of books to girls and baby dolls...

There have been lots of sweet sister moments...

And memories with my siblings...

We've explored our new children's museum....

And supported friends as they follow their passions...  (P.S. I've been blessed with wonderful little moments with Mr. SA this summer and keep being reminded of what a treasure he is. And it doesn't hurt that he's so handsome either...;)

And just think - June is only half over! If the rest of the summer is like this - then I might want it to stay summer forever!

Please drink some lemonade for me today!

Lazy Summer Post 1

It is summer! I am loving our laid back schedule!

Here's a glimse of what we've been up to...

Rufflebum loves doing her workbook where she practices reading, writing, and math (on a very basic level.) She thinks it's a fun game... and will ask to "play school".

We've had a lot of rain... but that's not why Burrow is wet here... she's wet because I accidentally sprayed her with the hose instead of the garden.

But she cheered up when Rufflebum pushed her in the car...

The girls like to empty our "mail basket" and Rufflebum likes to look at "magazines" (aka: catalogues of mens' clothing and home hardware...)

Watching big sister on the carosel...

Morning hugs with Daddy...

Exploring the botanical gardens...

And the zoo....

Getting wet again...

Walking to the grocery store to pick up a few things I forgot during our main trip of the week.

And my lovely pedicured feet at the spa I went to with my mom and sisters as a mother's day treat!

My mom and me on our hike at the spa.

I hope your summer is off to a great start!
